I was pking normally as you do, and i had 44hp then suddenly i died, i lost a vls and a fury.

Pretty sure you don't lose vls on death, and the reason that you're 44hp is because he would've used a special attack which does more than 1 hit, and the game didn't take your hp away fast enough(i think)
